Here is an example poem we look at in class. Which is a limerick with 5 lines

I once met a fat boy from Spain 

 He loved playing in the rain 

 But he broke his spin

 And he was not fine 

 And that's the fat boy from Spain

I once met a boy named bob

 He loved playing with the light bulb 

And he was really stupid 

Becausehe got electrocuted 

And that's the boy named bob

 This week we have set goals to work towards. these are the goals I set with my class,

Doubling and halving strategy

 In class we learned a new strategy called Doubling and halving
when you do this strategy you look to see how you can make it easier 
For Example
5 x 48
you can half 48, which then becomes 24 and you can double 5 which then becomes 10
4 x 16
you can half 16, which then become 8 and you can double 4 which then becomes 8
